At Warwick Schools Foundation, our vision is to support as many young people as possible to reach their full potential. One of the ways we are doing this is by broadening access for talented local students to an independent Sixth Form education. From tailored teaching and career advice, to co-curricular opportunities and mentorship for specialist university pathways, we strive to reach the best outcomes for every one of our students, regardless of background.
Warwick Schools Foundation, benefits from a scheme offering the possibility of free or discounted places based on financial need for candidates at 11+ entry into Year 7 and 16+ entry into Year 12. Within the bursaries available from the Foundation is the CV34 Award. These funds are specifically earmarked for children whose families live within the CV34 postcode and we are grateful to King Henry VIII Endowed Trust and The Charity of Sir Thomas White, Warwick for their financial support.
The support available is based on a combination of the following:
Pupils awarded a CV34 Award may also be entitled to additional financial support for educational visits, uniforms, transport and lunches.
Over 17% of pupils across the Foundation are recipients of some financial assistance and we are proud of the creativity, diversity and ambition within our community.

One of the greatest benefits of being part of a group of schools is the opportunities this creates for students to work together, offering an even greater range of activities and experiences for all.
From September 2025, we will be accepting boys as well as girls into the sixth form at The Kingsley School. Our Foundation schools will therefore offer distinct sixth form routes: collaborative and ‘best of both worlds’ at King’s High and Warwick School on the Warwick Campus, and fully co-educational at Kingsley.
When reaching Sixth Form all of our students benefit from collaborative opportunities for co-educational activities and socialising across both campuses, offering an arrangement that is unique to our Foundation.
To best prepare our students to bring about positive change in the futures ahead of them, we harness their different learning styles inside and outside the classroom. From Sport to Computer Science, from Combined Cadet Force to print-making, from Oxbridge preparation to overseas university applications; students are enabled to transition into the next stage of their education, or the world of work.
Our CV34 Award students reach the same goals post-16 as all other students, with strong exam results and top Russell Group university places.
Year on year, pupils excel and achieve well above the national average at all our sixth forms. Almost all leave to take places at their first-choice destinations, with the majority of those being at Russell Group universities. Popular destinations across the Foundation Sixth Forms include the Universities of Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Exeter, UCL, Leeds and Oxford.
Pupils also leave to study abroad and begin degree apprenticeships. There are programmes across the schools to support these different pathways, as well as for applied subjects such as Medicine and Law.
In 2023, at Warwick School, 42% of grades were A*-A, while 73% were A*-B grades in their A Levels in 2023. At King’s High School 51% of grade were A*-A and 77% A* to B grades. Across both Warwick and King’s an impressive 93% of grades were A* to C.
The Kingsley Sixth Form offers a slightly smaller environment, with a broad range of A levels and Cambridge Technical courses. In 2023 39% of grades were A*-A, while 61% were A*-B grades.
If you have any questions or would like further guidance with your application, you can speak to our dedicated Community Liaison Officer, Clare Sawdon. Clare is on hand to help explain the application process and give you a better sense of life at the Sixth Form of your choice.
